Meet Chris Norden for CARD

Chris is Northern California born and raised.

Growing up in Redding, Chris played youth soccer and baseball, where he learned

valuable lessons in teamwork and leadership. He attended Shasta College and was a

member of the college Men’s Soccer team, before transferring to CSU Sacramento.

Chris’ love of sport extended beyond playing, as he also volunteered as a youth soccer

coach and referee.

A dedicated public servant, Chris worked for 15 years in the California Legislature. He

served as Legislative Aide and Communications Director for then Assemblyman Doug

LaMalfa and Legislative Director for Senator Jim Nielsen. For the past 7 years, Chris

has been the Northern Region Field Representative for the California Special Districts

Association, a non-profit that works to promote, support and educate the 2,000 special

districts across California.

He is proud to call Chico his home with his wife Juleah and their dog, Honey.
